LeRena B. Stump
On March 3, 2015, our beloved sister, aunt, and dear friend, LeRena Stump passed away at Regional Hospital after a sudden illnesss LeRena was born on August 27, 1941, to Carl and Florence Leach Stump in Amboy, Washington. LeRena was raised and educated in Toppenish, Washington. It was there she began a career in food service, as well as working many years at Del Monte. She later transferred to Tree Top in Selah where she retired after working many years. LeRena thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years, doing various projects at home and spending her mornings enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends at Mel's Diner. Many people were unaware of LeRena's many talents; she was a wonderful portrait artist, and crocheted amazingly beautiful afghans as gifts for her friends and family. LeRena had a great interest in geneology and had traced her roots back to the 1600's. She would always find a way to do whatever she set her mind to do. LeRena had many very special friends that were like family to her, including Lorraine, Shannon, Lori, Jeff and girls, her neice Colleen and her girls, and many more too numerous to mention. She loved being with family and friends celebrating holidays and special occasions. LaRena will be missed by all, including her four-legged best friend, Pearl. LeRena was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother Leroy Stump, a nephew Mike Stump, former husband Bob Koch, stepchildren, Pam Koch and Yancy Koch. LeRena is survived by three brothers, Pat (Dora) Stump of Wiley City, Mike (Star) Stump of Pullman, Morris (Karen) Schademan of Oregon City, Oregon, a sister Janice (Max) Williams of Selah, multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Valley Hills Chapel in Zillah, Washington. Burial will follow at the Zillah Cemetary.
