Leonard Clark
Dad wrote his own obituary on 3-7-07. It reads as follows:
5-7-22 to ??? (12-23-15)
“Often wrong, but never in doubt.”
I was born near Centropolis, Kansas, came to Yakima in 1940. Worked in metal trades 47 years. Served in the Army during WWII. Overseas duty in Iran. Lifetime member of American Legion and VFW.
I was preceded in death by my parents, Harve and Pearl Grimsley Clark, my brothers, Fred, Ivan, Howard, my sister Beatrice Fishburn Nicklin, and my first wife Marjorie Dyer Clark.
I am survived by wife Barbara, daughter Ann Clark, son Alan (Janine), three granddaughters, Rebecca (Robert), Lauren (fiancé Michael), Rachel, and one great granddaughter, born December 11, Grace Marie. Also survived by stepsons Dan Henyan, Scott Henyan (Carolyn), Craig Henyan, stepdaughter Pam Young (Jim), and several step grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in early April in Meyer Auditorium at Living Care Retirement Community. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at www.valleyhillsfh.com
