Lenora May Hill, 88, of Grandview went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 14, 2015, with family and friends by her side. Lenora was born on February 5, 1927 in Monmouth Kansas to Elba and Mamie Williams. The family moved to Kennewick Washington where Lenora attended school and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1945. On June 1st she married Charles R. “Bud” Hill. In 1955 the family moved to Santa Ana California. Lenora was a dedicated wife and mother who loved working in the “Missionary Society.” She and many other women of the Church worked tirelessly to keep cloths and bandages that they actually rolled, along with other necessities to send to the missionary’s over seas.
Survivors include two daughters; Susan K. Furnish and Sharon D. Bull of Grandview, Eight grandchildren, fifteen great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Lenora was preceded in death by her husband: Bud Hill and their son Darrel Hill.
Lenora had struggled through alzheimer’s for 10 years. Although we will miss her very much, our family is so happy that her earthly struggle is over and she is where she always wanted to be, with Jesus. November 14, 2015 was her best day ever.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Sunday November 29, 2014 at the Anchor Point Church in Grandview WA. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of all arrangements. Condolences can be sent to www.valleyhillsfh.com.
