Lawrence Christianson, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 surrounded by family on May 20, 2024. Lawrence was born on February 2, 1930, in Yakima, Washington to Carl A. Christianson and Laurie Dureau. He was the youngest of two sons. He grew up in Union Gap and graduated from Yakima High School.
Shortly after graduation he began his career in construction. He then met and married Mary Fugate in 1953. Over the next ten years they traveled for his career and had two children, Michael and Linda Christianson. They returned to the Yakima Valley and Lawrence continued his career in construction until he retired in 1994. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, home improvement projects and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Lawrence is survived by his son Michael Christianson and wife Jill; grandsons Cole and Riley of Selah; his granddaughter Melissa Brackney of Yakima. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Fugate of Yakima; daughter Linda Craig of Yakima; his father, mother and brother.
