LaWanda Tillequots

LaWanda was born November 3, 1945, to R. Malinda Ellenwood and Ned DickTillequots, Sr. She entered into rest on November 29, 2025. 

She grew up as a strong horsewoman and cowgirl. She enjoyed dressing up with her regalia and horse trappings participating in the Ellensburg Rodeo, Pendleton Round Up, and various rodeos throughout the northwest. She enjoyed playing pool with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughter, Clancey Tillequots, granddaughters, Shanna, Teodora,and Cassandra Tillequots, her great grandchildren, King, Carlos, and Deja Zarate,Darryl, Obadiah, and Tobias Kishwalk. Siblings: Regina (the late Dwayne) Wheeler, Vera (the late Anthony) Hernandez, Emla (Frank Kiona) Leavitt, Charlene Tillequots,Bett’e Tillequots, Anastasia Tillequots and Ned (Beatrice) Tillequots, Jr. Sister in laws:Patricia Randall and Beatrice (Shilow) Suppah. Many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by Joseph Ellenwood, Ellen Hill, Emma & Thomas Dick, Ned Tillequots, Sr., Malinda Ellenwood, Ronnie George, Johnny Yallup,Sr., Wendell Tillequots, Thomas Tillequots, Nedlita Caye, Gina Tillequots, and Marlene Gregg. 

She will be dressed Monday, December 1, 2025, at 10:00 am at the ToppenishCreek Longhouse with overnight services, and the burial will be Tuesday, December 2,2025, at 7:00 am at the Toppenish Creek cemetery.
