IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laura Lynn
Larson
November 19, 1984 – December 28, 2025
Laura Lynn Larson, born on November 19, 1984, to David and Wendy Van Klinken of Prosser WA, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. We have great comfort knowing she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Laura was born and raised in Prosser and was a graduate of Prosser High School in 2003. After high school, Laura attended Spokane Falls Community College to study Nursing. She later changed her passion and attended Columbia Basin College to continue her studies in Finance to aid in her current position.
In 2006, Laura moved to Central America to be with her parents who were missionaries in Managua, Nicaragua. There, she taught Math and English as a second language to the children at an English Christian Academy.
In 2008, Laura moved back to Washington where she ultimately found her passion in the banking industry. She worked at GESA Credit Union for 13 years and recently had been promoted to Assistant Team Leader for the Lending Group. Laura was passionate about her job and was incredibly dedicated to ensuring every client felt the same amount of importance. She always talked about the relationships formed over the years and the enjoyment it brought to her life.
On November 18, 2012, Laura went on her first date with the love of her life, Ron Larson. They were married on May 30, 2015, in the Taft District of Lincoln City, Oregon. It was Laura’s favorite spot on the Oregon Coast and the reason they chose to begin their life together there. Laura became a stepmother to Ron’s son, Zachary Taylor, born in 2000. Laura and Ron’s love story continued with the birth of their first born, Miles Edward, in 2015 and welcomed their second son, Charlie David, in 2020.
In 2022, Laura and Ron moved to Seaside, Oregon where they raised their boys with the beaches as their playground. They took every opportunity to explore God’s beautiful creations along the Oregon Coast and captured every moment with beautiful photos. Laura always had an eye for taking breathtaking photos, mostly of her two boys. Memories that are sure to be treasured for a lifetime.
In 2025, Laura, Ron and their boys excitedly moved back to Prosser WA to be closer to friends and family.
Laura was immeasurably patient, incredibly kind, and intolerably humble. She loved her family fiercely, and her husband and children were her everything. Laura is remembered as a wonderful friend with a beautiful heart. Laura was quirky and punny, a special trait sure to be passed on. We relied on Laura to find the light in any situation as she always knew exactly just what to say. Laura’s ability to pull a joke out of thin air will be missed by all.
Laura also loved to crochet. She had a passion for creating blankets, scarves and anything else she could find time to make. Ron will cherish the blanket made by his wife’s hands. Miles and Charlie will treasure the blankets made that are full of their mother’s prayers and loving touch.
Laura is leaving a tremendous hole in all our hearts that can never be filled.
Laura was welcomed into heaven by her Grandparents Albert and Ida (Arends) Van Klinken, Grandfather Jan Don, Uncle Albert Don, cousins Aaron and Kooper Erickson, and father-in-law Ronald Larson.
Laura is survived by her husband and children, Ron, Zach, Miles and Charlie Larson, Grandmother Geraldine (Bierlink) Don, parents David and Wendla (Don) Van Klinken, sisters Melissa (Jeff) Jensen and Lindsy (Dustin) Penwell, nephews and nieces Jacob, Olivia, Abigail, Daxon and Beaux, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Virginia Larson and her sister-in-law Lisa Larson.
We will celebrate Laura’s life at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 531 S. 16th Street, Sunnyside, Washington. All friends and family are welcome to attend. 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 states, “God is our hope and comfort. He has compassion when we need him most. He is closest to the brokenhearted.”
In lieu of flowers, all donations will be directed to a future education fund for Miles & Charlie.
