Labertus Bilodeau

LaBertus R. Bilodeau, 84, of Yakima passed away on May 28, 2013 at Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima. She was born to Oscar and Inez (Strickling) Brewer on June 15, 1928 in Dodge City, Kansas. LaBertus lived in the Yakima Valley for most of her life and graduated from Granger High School. She married Amile F. Bilodeau on June 15, 1946. She was a wonderful homemaker and raised five loving daughters. LaBertus was an excellent listener and loved to spend time with her family. She was an avid reader and liked to work her crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Inez Brewer; her husband, Amile Bilodeau; brothers, Buck, Merl, and John Brewer; sisters, Patris Brewer, Kate Biladeau, Joe Siegenhagen; and grandchildren, Threasa and Sean. LaBertus is survived by her daughters, Landi (Paul) Johnson, Fran (Andrew) Robinson, Jeannie (Joe Masters) Bilodeau, Charlotte (Mike) Bailey, and Jody (Keith) Hamsher, all of Yakima; brother, Douglas Brewer of Yakima; Sister, Phyllis Bilodeau of Ephrata; grandchildren, Chad (Emily) Nielsen of Oregon City, OR, Jennifer (Terry Burgess) Tye of Yakima, Lynsey Tye of Seattle, Brennen (Hailey) Hamsher of Ellensburg, and Connor Bailey of Yakima; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima. Share a memory of LaBertus at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
