Kimberly Diane O'Neal Kimberly Diane O'Neal went home to be with the Lord on October 23rd 2013. She passed away peacefully at Cottage in the Meadow with family near after losing a year and half battle with cancer. Kim was born September 15th 1963 to James and Neta Greathouse in Marysville Ca. Kim’s family moved to Yakima when she was quite young, she graduated from Davis High School in 1981 and then attended Yakima Valley Community College earning her AA. She had various jobs around Yakima. Her most recent at the City of Yakima for several years as a financial specialist and several years at Yakima's county clerks office also as a financial specialist where she resigned due to her illness. To know Kim was to love Kim, she had a big smile and an infectious laugh with a heart bigger than herself and she touched all she came into contact with. Kim fiercely loved her family… always thinking of others before herself. Kim loved sports, especially football and basketball and she was as knowledgeable as any fan. Her favorite teams where the Seattle Seahawks and the Boston Celtics. She loved going out eat, a good book, good conversation, good movies and a good joke. Kim was preceded in death by her father James Greathouse Sr. and her grandparents Harold and Vada Frazier. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Dan O'Neal Sr., her mother Neta Hayes, her brothers James Greathouse Jr., Shawn (Mika) Greathouse, her son Jeff Greathouse; son's Danny (Laura) O'Neal Jr., Albert O'Neal and daughters Stephanie (Jared) Nolan, and Danielle O'Neal, 8 grandchildren and her very best friend Irene Lafollet who was always there for her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima (2600 Business Lane) October 29 between 3-5pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday October 30th at 1pm. Donations can be made in Kims name to the American Cancer Society.
