Kevin Patrick Sammler aka “Animal” of Oakland, California rode into the wind Friday, May 2, 2014. Kevin was born April 13, 1956 and was the son of Frederick Elmer Sammler and Alice Lois Murphy Sammler. He is survived by his sister Joan Lee Stall and two children, Jacob Q Sammler and Lauren Lancial, as well as his grandchildren Carson Blake and Easton Brant, sons of Jacob and Heather Sammler, Dylan Jeffery, Riley Eugene and Penny Jane, children of Lauren and Jeffery Lancial. Kevin led a rich life with which he shared amongst many friends. His career began as a commercial fisherman. He then joined the Carpenters Union and finished his career as a mason worker. One of Kevin’s greatest passions was to get in the wind on his Harley, every chance he could. He rode with many friends who became his extended family of brothers and sisters. A remembrance of Kevin’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 4 pm. The memorial will be held at 5147 Lateral B in Wapato, Washington.
