In Loving Memory of Kenneth Allen Stearns
Kenneth Allen Stearns, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, after a courageous fight against lung cancer in Toppenish, Washington on April 3, 2026.
Kenneth was born on September 2, 1939 in Malta, Montana, to Kenneth and Arlene Stearns.
Kenneth was known for his strength, his devotion to family, and his passion for building classic cars. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends, never hesitating to offer his time, support, and kindness. He taught us what true hard work means and to always put family first, leaving behind a legacy of his knowledge as a machinist and mechanic, as well as his love for storytelling that always taught a lesson and his fondness for a good joke, memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his loving children: Lori Siverson, Sandi Kirby and her husband David Kirby, Edward Stearns and his wife Stacey Stearns, and Christy Valenzuela and her husband Mario “Mawie” Valenzuela.
He is also survived by his brother Joe Stearns and his wife Sandy, and his sister Gloria Wallace and her husband Jim.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nathan Berney, Nicole Mendivil, Lexy Valenzuela, Sydney Stearns, Sawyer Stearns, Tavian Valenzuela, Bree Valenzuela, and Landon Valenzuela. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Audrey Cuellar, Mikah Cuellar, Maurice Cuellar, and Libby Mendivil, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sara “Sally” Stearns, his parents Kenneth and Arlene Stearns, his brothers Gay Stearns and his wife Inez, Lionel “Pete” Stearns and his wife Hazel, Bill Stearns and Mike Stearns, and his sisters Peggie Lappe and her husband Keith, Anna Garman and her husband Bob, and Hattie Jo Chancellor, Ramona Baker, and Bernadine “Bunny” Trottier.
Throughout his life, Kenneth was known for his caring heart, steady presence, and unwavering dedication to his family. He found his greatest happiness in spending time with those he loved, in addition to spending time working on cars in his garage, offering support, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories.
Kenneth will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the way he made others feel truly cared for and supported. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and the memories he created will remain with his family and friends forever.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and no memorial service will be held.
Kenneth will forever be remembered for his love, strength, and the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Kenneth. You will always be in our hearts.
