Kathy Jahner

Kathy Ann Jahner, 55, of Yakima passed away on January 7, 2014 at Selah Convalescent Care. She was born on September 16, 1958 in Yakima to Pius and Doris (Anderson) Jahner. Kathy lived in Yakima all of her life. She attended Davis H.S. and worked for the family business, Anderson’s Grocery. She also worked as a manager for Market Foods then as a manager for Hazel’s Candy in Yakima. Kathy was a wonderful person. She loved rollerskating, horseback riding, tennis, holidays (especially Christmas), and making candy. She was a caring person and loved animals. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yakima for many years. Her family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Selah Convalescent for their wonderful care. She is survived by her mother, Doris Jahner of Yakima; sister, Diane (Rod) Graves of Yakima; and nephew, Michael Jahner of Scottsdale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father, Pius in March of 1992. At her request, no services will be held.
