Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Quantrille was born in Toppenish, WA to Frank
and Mary Heilman on January 30, 1942. She passed away peacefully
surrounded by her loving family on December 13, 2022 at her home in
Wapato after valiantly battling Alzheimer's Disease.
Kathy met Alan the love of her life, when she was 15. They were
married for 61 years. She was a devoted wife, amazing mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, cook, gardener, carpenter, and
seamstress. Kathy dedicated her life to her family and church. She was
a member of St. Peter Claver Church and served on the finance
committee, as well as heading the May Festival. Kathy worked for Del
Monte for 30 years and retired in 1998. Kathy was truly a lady of light.
She was known for her incredible Christmas light display. Our family
joked that if you visited at Christmastime, you better keep moving or
you may be decorated with lights! She was a woman of great faith. She
prayed for all of her family and friends. Kathy will spend her first
Christmas with Jesus so heaven will be a little brighter this year.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Alan Quantrille, children
Michele (Alan) Umemoto, Steve Quantrille, Greg (Deanna) Quantrille,
Linda (Shawn) Rucker, Gina (Roger) Jacob, 15 grandchildren and 21
great grandchildren. Kathy had many honorary grandchildren as well
who she loved as her own.
To be loved unconditionally by Kathy was the greatest gift and blessing.
Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. We know she is watching
over us and will be waiting for us in heaven with open arms. She will be
forever loved and cherished.
