Kandace Weeber

May 3, 1949 — December 28, 2014

At an early age, like most first born Kandy began striving to achieve and excel at everything she did. She grew up working alongside her sisters with loving parents on the family apple ranches of Naches Heights. Kandy was active in campfire, church camp and youth group, as well as piano and ballet lessons. She even took mountain climbing lessons, which allowed her to climb Mt. Adams at the age of 17. Some of Kandy’s favorite memories include sledding, camping, Sunday family gatherings and picnics, as well as swimming at the YMCA. Kandy attended Highland High School where she excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities. She was captain of the drill team, pep club president and served as royalty on the Highland Community float. Kandy was pretty and knew how to apply make-up and show her great figure. Her love of clothes, fashion & appearance led her to be chosen for the prestigious fashion board for People clothing store. Kandy attended WSU and the University of Oregon, participating as a member of the dance team at both schools. Although she was dealt a hardship where most would crumble, Kandy persevered and received a BA in Education from CWU. Kandy’s path was far from her plan and she experienced many things we will never know. She leaves behind a legacy of family, faith, honor, integrity, striving for excellence and looking beyond appearances. She was always happy to share her experiences with and attend the events of her niece and nephews. Kandy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jim and Orean Weeber. She leaves behind two caring younger sisters Cindy Amos of Boise, ID. and Carla Borland of Yakima, WA. She is also survived by her niece Janel, nephews, Joshua, Brock, and Curtis. As a family we feel fortunate to have lived in the Highland community where only kindness was shown no matter the situation. A graveside service was held at West Hills Memorial Park. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
