Julio Arreola

Julio Arreola Sr., a retired farmer and resident of Wapato, WA passed away on May 7, 2018 in Yakima, WA. He was 87 years old. Julio Sr. was born on April 12, 1931 in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He immigrated to the United States with his brother in 1968, seeking a successful life in the land of opportunities. After working in the fields, he had the chance to bring his family over in 1970. He and his family ran Julio Arreola’s Produce in Wapato, WA for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Donato and Benita Arreola; brothers, Juanito and Francisco Sr.; sisters, Antipolo Imperial and Teodora Dumo; wife, Leonora; and son, Arturo. He is survived by his sons Brady (Emy), Charlie, and Julio Jr.; daughters, Dolores Galimba (Nestor) and Eleanor Krier (Dave); granddaughters, Ana Cochran (Drew), Ashley and Angelica Arreola; and sister Anastacia Peña (Baltazar). Visitation will be at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato followed by committal at Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato.
