Julie Lange

February 11, 1948 — October 8, 2023

Our eldest sister, Julie Anna Lange 75, passed away peacefully on October 8th at Richland Rehab Center. Julie is now reunited with her husband, John E Lange, whom she missed daily after his passing on April 17th, 2019. Julie was the first born of nine children to Leo and Jesse Abhold of Yakima. Julie was educated at Holy Family Elementary and Carroll High School. Julie then enrolled at Yakima Valley Community College, majoring in computer science, while working full-time. Julie enjoyed programming and repairing personal computers. Soon after, Julie gave birth to a son Thomas, together they made memories of Disneyland and the Oregon beaches when possible. Julie worked for Kmart for 30 years and Bi-Mart 10 years, making many friends in her years in retail. Julie cherished her lifelong best friend, Stacey Duncan of Yakima. They had so much in common, especially the Seahawks and Mariners being their favorite sports teams. Her past times were spent competing on bowling leagues and bingo when she felt lucky! Julie enjoyed cooking and baking cookies, especially at Christmas, which was her favorite time of year. She also loved springtime peonies, making ceramic gifts for friends, cracking crossword puzzles, eating Dairy Queen blizzards, and watching forensic files on TV. Julie was welcomed into her son Thomas Neumeyer and his wife Juliet's home four years ago. This was truly a blessing for her getting to know her grandkids Jasmine and Lee and her future buddy Kuma, the family dog, who misses her greatly. Julie is preceded in death by John E Lange, husband. Leo and Jesse Abhold, parents. Survivors include her son Thomas and his wife Juliet Neumeyer. Grandchildren Jasmine and Lee Neumeyer. Siblings in order of appearance. Ray Abhold. Jim Abhold (Cuc), Fritz Abhold (Louise), Kathleen Abhold, Pattie Petri (Stuart), Mike Abhold, Kris Abhold (Pattie) and Randy Abhold (Ximena).
