Jude Joseph Ortiz Sr.

Jude Joseph Ortiz Sr., 50, died unexpectedly October 8, 2025. He was born March 5, 1975 in Toppenish, WA, the son of Charles and Raquel Ortiz.

Jude attended the Wapato School District. Jude was a cook at Gear Jammer. He was a DJ at Jean Marie’s. He worked at Seneca Foods Corp. Jude loved to cook at all hours of the day and jamming out to his music. Jude love spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He loved to collect collectibles. He was a 49ers fan. He loved going on adventures with his evil twin Bernadette. Jude was a fun loving carefree soul. He loved to joke around. He loved taking road trips. But behind all that fun, he was also the kind of person you could count on. He was a champion for the people he loved and brought joy wherever he went. His laughter filled every room he entered, and the echoes of it will continue to live on in our memories. 

We will honor his memory by living with the same joy he brought to all of us and by showing up for the people we love, just as he always did for us.

Jude is survived by his children: Jude Ortiz Jr., Joey Ortiz, Angelica Ortiz, Jessie Ortiz Ortega, Joezapheen Ortiz, Jolie Ortiz, and 3 grandchildren: Jodie Ortiz, Lylah and Mallorie Ortiz.

Predeceased by: David Garcia (brother-in-law), Santos Suarez (brother-in-law), and Unikque Ramirez (great niece).

Rosary will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato. Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Reservation Community Memorial Park In Wapato.
