Juan “Johnny” Uvalle
July 18, 1962 – February 22, 2026
Juan “Johnny” Uvalle, 63, of Sunnyside, Washington, passed away peacefully in his home on February 22, 2026.
Born on July 18, 1962, in Grandview, WA, to Angela Melendrez and Estevan Uvalle, Juan was a lifelong resident of the Yakima Valley. While he lived in various parts of Washington throughout his life, Sunnyside was always where his heart resided. Juan spent his youth working in agriculture before dedicating the remainder of his life as a skilled mechanic.
Known for his generous spirit, Juan never hesitated to lend a helping hand to a friend in need. He found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life: fishing, dancing, tending to his garden, and barbecuing for those he loved. He was also a devoted animal lover who cherished the time spent with his dogs.
Juan shared a beautiful life with his lifelong partner, Patsy Reser. Together, they made unforgettable memories—whether they were visiting the casino, taking long drives, sitting by a bonfire with a cold beer, or dancing the night away to Tejano music.
Above all, Juan was a devoted father and a wonderful grandfather. His daughter, Andrea, and his three grandchildren—Audrina, Christian, and Aliyana—were his world.
Juan was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Melendrez; his sisters, Maria “Stella” Sabedra and Carmen Uvalle; and his brothers, Estevan “Nune” Uvalle Jr. and Estevan Uvalle Jr.
He is survived by his dad Estevan Uvalle, his lifelong partner, Patsy Reser; his daughter, Andrea Uvalle; and his beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Kelly (David) Conejo and Cindy Saldana; and his brothers, Joe (Olga) Uvalle and Albert Uvalle
Thank you, Patsy, for never giving up on my dad and for loving him unconditionally.
