Joseph Poisel

Joseph “Joe” John Poisel, age 63, was born January 21, 1954 in Yakima, WA to John and Evelyn Poisel. He passed away May 9, 2017 at Emerald Care Nursing Home in Wapato, WA. Joe attended Davis and Selah High Schools. In 1971 Joe joined the USMC. 1975 was a good year, he married the love of his life Nancy Baker. Joe loved hunting, fishing, the Seahawks, and camping. For many years Joe drove a truck and operated heavy equipment. He was preceded in death by his daughter Danielle Rae Poisel; his mother Evelyn Poisel; and his brother and sister Timmy and Tammy Poisel. He is survived by his father John Poisel of Yakima; wife Nancy Poisel of Selah; sons: Brandon Baker and CJ Poisel of Selah; grandsons: Jacob, Dylan, Levi and Caleb; sisters: Debra (Larry) Flohr, Shirlene Reynolds both of Selah; brothers: Ron (Mert) Poisel of Selah, and Randy Poisel of Neilton, WA. Joe was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe was a really good man and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed! Memorial Service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Fruitvale Grange (2908 Castlevale Rd, Yakima, WA 98902). A potluck reception at the Grange will be held after the service.
