Jose L. Camacho Jose L Camacho, 62, of Granger, WA passed away on June 17, 2014 at Toppenish Community Hospital due to health complications. Jose was born August 7, 1951 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, to Pedro Camacho and Teresa Cerda. Jose received his education in Mexico. On August 20, 1973 he married Elidia Piceno Pinon. Shortly after they immigrated to the United States in 1970 and worked in the Yakima Valley agricultural fields for many years. They then settled in Los Angles, CA in the early 1990’s where he worked for a Jewish family service for over 20 years. He started delivering food and worked his way up to becoming an industrial cook. That is where he found his passion for cooking and making edible fruit arrangements. Jose is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Elidia. He is also survived by his children Pedro Camacho of Outlook, Susana Camacho of Granger, Daniel Camacho of Granger, Fabiola Camacho of Kennewick, Evangelina Camacho of Michigan, Berta Alicia Camacho of Crewport WA, Luz Elena Camacho of Granger, Jose Luis Camacho of Yakima, and Omar Camacho of Granger. One brother Jesus Camacho of Granger and two sisters Ana Camacho and Esperanza Camacho of Mexico. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Jose is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Teresa. Viewing and visitation will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 from 4 pm – 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday June 22, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger.
