John Carlos Trevino

Juan Carlos "J.C .“ Trevino, 69, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Juan Carlos, known affectionately by many as " J.C.”, was born to Juan and Concepcion Trevino and learned the value of hard work at an early age. At just 14 years old, he went to work for the family business, Trevino Trucking. He wasn't afraid of long hours or hard work and believed in showing up and getting the job done right. Trevino Trucking wasn't just where he worked, it was a part of who he was. He took pride in providing for his family and remained dedicated to the business until illness forced his retirement in 2016.

J.C. met the love of his life, Norma L. Trevino, at the drive-in theater in Sunnyside, Washington. They were married on March 9, 1977, and built a life together in Grandview, Washington. In 1978, they welcomed their son, Richard J. Trevino.

J.C. was also the proud father of his sons, John and Jason Trevino, from a previous relationship. Being a father was one of the roles he valued most.

As his family grew, J.C. embraced being a grandfather with the same quiet pride.

He enjoyed having his grandchildren around and looked forward to every chance he had to spend time with them. His granddaughter, Serenity, shared a particularly close bond with him, and the two enjoyed countless moments together that he deeply treasured.

He was the kind of man who could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved spending time outdoors whether he was camping, fishing, hunting, or firing up the barbecue grill surrounded by family. He enjoyed playing pool and trying his luck at the casino. More than anything, he treasured every moment spent with those he loved.

J.C. is survived by his sons, Richard Trevino (Rebecca), John Trevino (Amie), and Jason Trevino; his cherished grandchildren, Serenity, Mark, Jennessee, Adian, Kaelynn, and Taylor (Scott) Trevino; and 7 great grandchildren; his siblings, Sylvia Perales, Linda Brock (Oliver), David Trevino (Diane), Lee Trevino, and Lily Roach (Eric); his sister-in-law, Nora Cruz (Jr.); his brothers-in-law, Margarito Salinas (Linda) and Ruben Salinas Jr.; his beloved uncle, Roy Flores (Betty); his close family member, Rebecca Warren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma L. Trevino; his parents, Juan and Concepcion Trevino; his siblings, Dolores Torrence (Gary), Jesus "J.T." Trevino, Max Trevino, and his parents-in-law, Ruben and Teresa Salinas.

Though J.C. will be greatly missed, his family finds peace in knowing he is once again by the side of his beloved wife, Norma. His legacy of love, kindness, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
