John Franklin Roberts Jr. September30, 1959 to December 18, 2022 John Franklin Roberts Jr. Passed away at the age of 63. John resided in Yakima County where he lived all his life. He passed away at Yakima Valley Memorial hospital in Yakima on December 18, 2022. John was born in Sunnyside Washington on September 30, 1959 to the late John and Jean Roberts. He grew up in Yakima with his parents and his sisters. After graduating in 1977 he attended West Coast Bible College in Fresno California for 2 years. He then returned to Yakima and began working in the agricultural business eventually becoming a forklift driver. After simi-retirement he then drove a Pilot car for 5 years. John let people know who asked what he did for a living during that time that he was a “Pilot”. In 2001 John became a father to his beautiful daughter Sierra Jean. She was the light of his life. In 2007 John then met the love of his life Debbie Kae Dufault Cox. She soon became Debbie Roberts as they were married on May 28, 2008. They then became a family of 5 as John inherited 2 beautiful stepchildren. John loved them both dearly. John worshipped at Christian Life Center Church of God throughout his life. He also attended Open Bible for a time. He did love the worship music so much and has several favorite songs from listening to Positive Life radio. His other pastimes included watching sports and screaming at the Seahawks through the TV wishing they would listen, and they didn’t. He loved soaking up the summer sun sporting quite the tan typically throughout the summer. He loved his and Debbie’s pets 3 dog’s and a cat. It was a comfort to him to have them around when it was difficult to leave his home. John Roberts is survived by his wife Debbie Kae Roberts, His daughter Sierra Jean Roberts and her son TJ Garmen. Sister Marcia Johnson and her husband Mark, sister, Karen Shelton. His stepchildren Cody Cox and his wife DeAnna their children Steel, James, William, and JD. Carly Figueroa and her husband Ricardo their children Ricky, Miguel, Agustin, Yaretzi, and Yuritzi. Many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life will be Tuesday 27th of December at 12:30 pm Held at Christian Life Center 716 N 40th Ave, Yakima, WA 98908. In lieu of flowers donations to the Roberts family are appreciated to help with expenses. All donations can be sent to Christian Life Center (address listed above) attn: Roberts family.
