John Rixie

John Allen Rixie, 55, passed away May 16, 2013 at his home in Yakima, WA. John was born on February 17, 1958 in LaPorte, IN and served in the U.S. Army before meeting his wife of 30 years, Rita. He loved being outside whether it was working on his cars, gardening, playing with grandchildren or riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his wife, Rita Rixie, of Yakima; 5 children, Amanda Rixie, Kellie Rixie (Sam), John E. Rixie, Jeremy Rixie, all of Yakima, Jennifer Holmstrom (Erik) of Lompoc, CA; 3 grandsons, Jay and Blaze Watkins, August Morrow-Rixie; brothers, James Rixie (Erlinda), Glen Rixie, Charles Rixie, Steve Rixie; sister, Barbara Houghtaling (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents Ellis Rixie and Barbara Moss. A private family and friend gathering will be held in memory of John. We love you Daddy.
