John Nielson

John passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 with his longtime friend and ex-wife by his side; they stayed close friends even after they divorced. John retired from truck driving in 2005. He drove for over 35 years. He was a devoted member of the Christ the King Community Church of Yakima. He is survived by longtime friend and ex wife Janice Nielsen of Yakima, four children, Martha of Yakima, Mary of North Dakota, Tony of North Dakota, Kevin of Yakima, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is survived by one sister, Pat of Naches. Preceded in death by one son, Billy, a brother, Doug, and two sisters, Louise and Rayda, and his parents Fern and Dutch. He made many friends over the years and miles that he traveled. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside service will be held at the Zillah City Cemetery at 1:00 pm, Wed., January 21, 2015.
