Joan Hamlin

Joan Marie Hamlin, age 73 of Yakima, WA, passed away peacefully in Everett, WA at Providence Hospice Center surrounded by her family on July 29, 2016. Joan was born and raised in Yakima, WA to Melvin and Fern Butler. Joan loved to be surrounded by her family. She stayed home and raised five children with her husband of 44 years, Norm Hamlin. Joan enjoyed being outside and surrounded by her family. She enjoyed bingo, vacationing, her grandchildren, country music, long talks and laughter, being close to her loved ones, and long nights watching movies with her grandkids. Joan leaves behind her beloved family; husband, Norm Hamlin; daughters: Sherry Adams and Shannon Wagner; sons: Shawn Hamlin, Tony Adams, and Gary Adams. Joan also leaves behind several grandkids and great grandkids: Tonya, Malissa, Kristina, Josh, Aaron, Channa, Jessica, Jamie, Gary Lee, Jr., Tyler, Alexis, Jaydyn, Avah, Ashelyn. Also, Emeillia, Haydyn, Logan, Kova, and Sennix. Viewing will be Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 Noon, both at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln., Yakima).
