James G. Gorrebeeck James Glen (Jim) Gorrebeeck, 75 of Zillah, WA passed away at his home on February 7th 2018. Jim was born to Clarence and Gladys Voliva in San Fransisco, CA on May 10th 1942. He graduated from Sequola High School in 1960. After graduation Jim joined the United States Air Force, while stationed at Plattsburgh AFB he met the love of his life Helen Sweet and they were married November 2nd 1963. Together they had four children; Jimmy, Deena, Terrie, and Anthony. After proudly serving 20 years in the Air Force he moved the family to Zillah, WA where he joined the Zillah Police Department. Shortly after joining he was promoted to Chief of Police. Jim served the Zillah Community as Chief of Police for 25 years retiring in 2006. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather Louis Gorrebeeck; sisters Carol Voliva, Jerry Holden and Lee Nunes; brothers Walt Gorrebeeck, Herb Gorrebeeck and Ted Gorrebeeck; son, Jimmy Gorrebeeck; and grandson, Joshua Garcia. He survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Helen Gorrebeeck; daughters, Deena Diaz (Emillo) of Yakima, Terrie Olney (Stan) of Toppenish; son, Anthony Gorrebeeck (Theresa) of Yakima; brother, Robert Gorrebeeck (Annie) and several brother and sister in laws. He is also survived by his loving Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, loving Nieces and Nephews. The Family would like to invite everyone to join for a Potluck and Celebration of His Life on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Zillah Civic Center from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Full Military Honors by the United States Air Force will take place at 1:00pm.
