Jerry Starzinski

March 15, 1945 — December 20, 2014

Jerry P Starzinski, died on December 20, 2014. He was born on March 15, 1945. He was born to Stella (Montgomery) and Frank Starzinski on a farm in Wisconsin. He had three older siblings who loved to use him as their guinea pig. He moved to Goodland, Kansas as a young boy with his mother after his parents divorced. That is where he graduated from high school. While in Kansas, his mother met and fell in love with Nelson Bowman, who quickly became a father to all four children. After graduating, he joined the armed forces, just like his brothers before him, only he joined the Air Force. Regardless of this, ha ha, he proudly served his country for many years. He re-upped in 1966. Receiving an honorable discharge in 1970. He worked at Ace TV , until he retired, working on all radios, TVs, and electronics that came through the doors. He was a very smart man, so much that he was a member of Mensa. A very elite club only for those with extremely high IQs. But he never made you feel like he was better. Jerry remained a bachelor until he died, never having children. His cats were his children, even taking in strays. He loved to read. His brain was like a sponge and soaked up any and all information he got his hands on. He hunted and fished with his brothers and nephews, something they all enjoyed immensely. He is survived by one brother, Lonnie (Sue) James, nieces, Faith (Jeff) Seltz and Ginger James, nephews Charles (Donna) Seltz, Shawn (Christine) James, & Robbie. He is preceded in death by his mother, pops, his father, sister, niece and his best friend, and brother, Lenard. We will love you always. A graveside service with full military honors is planned for Friday at 1:00 at West Hills Memorial Park. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
