Jeremiah John Whitefoot Jr. 16, of Wapato, Wa a member of the Yakama Nation died Oct. 17, 2017 he was struck by a hit and run driver early that morning outside of Toppenish, Wa.
He was born May 1, 2001 in Lewiston, Id.
The son of Altina Alice Sampson and step father that raised him Fernando Miguel Garcia.
He attended Pace High School in Wapato, Wa.
He loved skateboarding, music, hanging out with family and friends, traveling to stickgames and pow-wow's and cruising the pahto bus with his uncle Seth and partners.
He is preceded in death by his father Jeremiah John Whitefoot Sr., his grandfather Calvin D. Whitefoot, Aunt Paula M. Longtimesleeping, his grandfather's Isaac Sampson, Allen G. Tahkeal.
Survived by his mother Altina AliceSampson and little brothers Jaime, Kane and Alejandro Garcia. Also by his grandparents Alvalerie Sampson, Dixon Yallup, Josephine Stahi, Charles Axtell, Floraine Gardee- Randall Josephine Watlamet, Jeanna Whitefoot, Michelle Longtimesleeping and numerous Aunts , Uncles and cousins.
Funeral Arrangements are being held by Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, Wa. Dressing services Oct. 23, 2017 at the Wapato Longhouse at 10 AM with overnight services to follow and Burial Oct. 24, 2017 at Union Gap Cemetery at sunrise.
