“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” – Psalm 116:15
Jenny Aggett went home to be with her Lord and Savior August 11, 2018 after a very brief battle with cancer. She was born Delores Lockie to Mary and George Lockie in Everett, WA on October 1, 1937. She was raised in a Godly home and put her faith and hope in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. In kindergarten she said she wanted to be called Jenny, and she’s gone by that name ever since. She graduated from Everett High school and then attended Emmaus Bible College where she met an Englishman named Brian Aggett. They married in February 1960 and had two children, David and Ruth. Nine years later they added two more children, Suzie and Heather.
Jenny was a homemaker and an artist starting with paintings and then later to crafting. She could be found working on crafts for the upcoming bazaars or preparing a meal and pies for guests. She was well known for opening her home to anyone who needed a temporary place to stay. Her love for Jesus compelled her to put others before herself and was genuinely interested in the cares of others. She attended Tieton Drive Bible Chapel participating in Bible studies and serving the church in too many ways to name. Jenny was a faithful, loving wife who poured God’s truths into her children and grandchildren. Jenny's straight forward opinions and funny mishaps keep us laughing even in her absence. She will be so dearly missed.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Brian, of 58 years, her children: David (Karrilee) Aggett, Ruth (Bob) Barrionuevo, Suzie (Tim) Goff and Heather Cole; and her brothers Earl (Cora) Lockie and Steve (Lynne) Lockie. She has 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marilyn Williams, and her son in law Dave Cole.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life and service to the Lord on Saturday August 25th at Tieton Drive Bible Chapel (4305 Tieton Drive) at 11:00 with a light lunch to follow.
