Jenet Johnson

May 9, 1963 — January 7, 2021

Jenet Johnson died peacefully in her sleep on January 7, 2021 at The Orchards in Grandview, Washington. She was born on May 9, 1963 in Yakima, Washington, to Verna Johnson. Jenet never married or had children, but had an abundance of friends for whom she considered many of them an extension of her family. Jenet held many jobs in her lifetime, including nurses aid, Safeway employee, home healthcare worker and her most loved job as a school bus driver. She loved and was most proud of this profession; she was well suited for this job. She loved the kids she drove safely to and from school, and they loved her in return. When Jenet could no longer work for health reasons, she started volunteering at Memorial Hospital and NorthStar Lodge, where she had received cancer treatment. Jenet had a long hard battle with cancer, but her positive outlook on life, giving heart and compassion for animals never waivered. Jenet is proceeded in death by Richard Johnson (brother) and survived by Verna Johnson (mother), Robert Spears (brother) and numerous nieces and nephews. Jenet will be laid to rest at West Hills Memorial Park. Please visit www.ValleyHillsfh.com to share a memory or condolence with the family.
