Jeannette Williams, a proud member of the Yakama Nation and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jeannette carried a deep love of Yakama culture and heritage throughout her life. She cherished being culturally involved—digging roots, picking berries, and passing those traditions on to her family. Jeannette also loved sewing, crafts, thrifting, and shopping at her favorite liquidation stores ( Los Bros and Super Deals) she was also a devoted fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, and the Washington Huskies (UW). A 1981 graduate of White Swan High School. She dedicated many years of flagging, along with 20 years of service to Yakama Nation Credit Enterprise.
Above all, Jeannette treasured her family. Few things brought her more joy than supporting her grandchildren in their sports and activities, always present on the sidelines to cheer them on.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, June and John Williams; her brother, John Jr.; and her two grandsons, Tarrel and Daijon; niece Eiesha
She is survived by her two daughters, Venissa and Venita(Buddy); her eight grandchildren, Jaden, Lashaya, Briauna, LaDainion, Koeziah, Kahlee, Kearra, and Carter; her two great-grandchildren, Azariah and Sienna; and her siblings, Ted (Berda), Don (Charlotte), Deanna, Nate, Pat, and Rod.
