Jean Ryan

Jean Ryan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on August 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Ryan. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Reichard and husband Scott, Lori Troianello and husband Mark, grandsons Joseph & Thomas Curtin, Joseph and Michael Troianello, three great-grandchildren, and her brother William Reid of New Jersey. Jean was born on October 25, 1931 in Staten Island, NY and moved to Yakima with her husband Joe in 1995. They were very active in their church, Holy Family, and Jean converted to Catholicism there. She loved being Catholic and belonging to her church family. She loved being around people and sharing her life with them. Jean was very proud of being Irish and St. Patrick's Day was one of her favorite holidays. She and Joe always had a party to celebrate the "wearing of the green" and some of their friends back East still continue the tradition today and raise a glass to Jean & Joe. Jean was always there at the sporting events or school shows, cheering on her grandchildren. She was always willing to help out if her children or grandchildren needed her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Chapel, Wed, August 20,2014 at 10:00 am. The family would like to thank Arbor House for the wonderful care Jean received and the all the hospice workers and staff at Memorial Hospital. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
