Our hearts have yet another hole as our dear dad, James William Stone, Sr. passed away November 13, 2017 one day before his 81st birthday.
He has gone to be with his beloved wife, Alora, to walk on the sandy shores of heaven.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alora (2015), brother Dwayne (2017), Mother Bertha, father Emery, sister Shirley and daughter Brenda. He has left behind his children: James Jr. (Connie), Debbie (Dan), Peggy and John (Dawn). He will be missed by his grandchildren: April (Pedro), Cassandra (Luke), Brandon (Nicole), Derek (Mandi), Jaimie, Johne, Crystal, Kristen, Rebecca; extended family members and many great grandchildren whom he truly adored and cherished their visits as they always made him laugh.
James grew up a kind, loving and hardworking man. He worked in the fruit industry until his retirement. He professed to be a “stubborn old goat”. He has a love for all animals minus the skunks that took residence under his house. He even has a pet squirrel that would sit on him and eat food from his shirt pocket. James has an idol-Walter, the Jeff Dunham puppet. He could repeat watch Walter several time and still laugh.
James loved taking Alora to the beach where they could relax and leave their footprints in the sand. Even though those prints have washed away, our love will always remain.
Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Friday, November 17, 2017 at West Hills Memorial Park (11800 Douglas Rd., Yakima).
