Jim attended Selah Schools graduating in 1964. He later attended Perry Tech after serving in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. Jim worked for Pacific Power retiring in 2006 after 36 years .
Jim lived his life with the enthusiasm of a kid, the drive of a teenager , and the wisdom of a scholar. Jim was a fantastic son, a terrific brother , a steadfast friend and a wonderful provider for his family.
Jim was a car fanatic. One of his greatest joys was spending time in his shop, usually rebuilding a car. He had a wonderful ability to create a new vehicle from top to bottom. From Model T s to Drag racers Jim created many masterpieces with great pride. Jim inherited his Fathers sense of humor . Always a new joke or prank. Laughter is great medicine its been said and Jim was a great testament to how laughter can ease the situation. He was joking with his Sister and the nurses even when He knew the end was close.
Jim loved his family . He looked over our Mom after Dads passing and provided Love and support to his siblings. Jim taught us many of life's lessons and having him in our lives was a privilege.
He was totally devoted to his wife of nearly 47 years. His final concerns were not for his needs but that of his wife. He was the picture of the perfect father and devoted grandfather. His Boys both have great memories of their “time in the shop with Dad”. Jim had 4 grand daughters and each one was so special and unique to him. Not a phone call or visit went by that He wasn't bragging on those girls.
