James (Julio) Gallagher passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Cottage in the Meadow.
Jim was born July 13, 1942 in Chester, Pennsylvania. He came to Yakima in 1976 where he worked at Highland Fruit for 32 years.
Jim made lots of friends with his sense of humor and jokes. His laugh always made others laugh. He loved to read and have flowers around his place. His companions were his doggies. He loved life, himself, and his many friends and family. One of his sayings was, “You’re welcome as the flowers of May, but this is June so get out.”
Jim is preceded in death by his parents William and Regina Gallagher, his brothers Bill, Joe and Eugene Gallagher. He is survived by his niece Karen Gallagher-Craig (James and Kodye Craig), his nephews Joe and Ralph Gallagher, his brothers Mike, Donald and George Gallagher and many more nieces and nephews.
A Viewing will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln., Yakima, WA) on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. A Graveside will follow at 1:00 p.m. at West Hills Memorial Park (11800 Douglas Rd., Yakima, WA). A Celebration gathering afterward will be announced at the graveside.
