Jacqueline Rosita Barron, 93, of Yakima, WA, passed away on March 20, 2025. Jackie was born on December 10, 1930, in Yakima, WA to Stephen and Rosa King. Jackie grew up in Wapato, WA.
After high school, she married Fred Barron. Over the course of the years together, they raised 3 sons, Fred Jr., Pat and Mike. In the mid-sixties, Jackie attended YVC and received her RN License. She worked for Yakima Memorial Hospital for over 30 years becoming head night shift supervisor. Fred passed away in the early 70's and Jackie got interested in motorcycles through her son Fred Jr.
Always being a strong-willed individual, she took to riding motorcycles easily. Jackie had various models over the years and loved to ride. She joined the Motor Maids, a motorcycle club for women. She would travel all over the U.S.A. On her bike to attend club functions. When not riding her bike, she enjoyed gardening. Jackie was especially proud of her roses.
During retirement, she moved to Ritzville, WA to be closer to her youngest son Mike who resided in Cheney, WA. Jackie's last 2 ½ years were spent in Yakima, WA.
Jackie is preceded in death by her mother and father, her oldest son Fred Jr., and youngest son Mike.
She is survived by her son Pat and wife Terri, who reside in Yakima, WA., 3 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
