Jacob Mann

Jacob Joseph Mann Jr, 79, of White Swan went to be with The Creator October 24, 2018 at Astria Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by family. He was born October 27, 1938 in Pendleton, Oregon to Jacob Joseph Mann Sr, and Ellen Mann (Kashkash). Jacob Graduated from White Swan High School in 1956, and then joined the United States Air Force where he served for 21 years. During that time he served 3 tours in Vietnam, along with other various deployments. He was one of the founding members of the Yakama Warriors Association, and assisted with the Annual Veterans Camp. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, spending time in the mountains, and spending time with family. Jacob is survived by his beloved wife, Althea (Anson) Mann, Son Dale Mann (Liz) of Colfax, Wa; Daughter Dorothy Perez (Antonio) of White Swan, Granddaughters Shannon Mann (Lorenz) of Yakima, Gabrielle Mann (Justin Sr) of Austin, Texas, Danielle Mann (Anthony) of Naches, Leslie Carlson (Lathen) of Yakima; Grandson Anthony Perez of White Swan; Great grandchildren Izabelle Herrera, Justin Taylor Jr, Evan Leppert, and Althea Leppert; Sisters Catherine Sampson, Julia Hill, and Martha Yallup; and many nieces and nephews. Jacob is preceded in death by his parents, brothers David Mann and James Mann, and sister Ollie Mann-Olsson. Dressing will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato. Celebration of life will be held October 27,2018 at 10:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato. He will be laid to rest at Yesmowit Cemetery in Medicine Valley.
