Jacob John Bloom

Jacob John Bloom, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and papa, mentor, and lover of life, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 27.

Jacob is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Denise Bloom; his devoted sons, Kody (Ally) and Jared (Abby); his cherished grandson, Kannin; his brother, Josh, and his wife, Christina, along with their four children, Josh Jr., Nikki, Britney, and Maci; and his beloved wife, Tracey, and her sons, Alec and Jeremiah.

Jacob was born on March 1, 1976, in Toppenish, Washington, to Denise and Daniel Bloom of Zillah. He graduated from Zillah High School in 1994. During high school, Jacob worked at Stadelmans and the Zillah Food Center, later dedicating 30 years of his career to the Ace Hardware retail support center in Moxee.

Jacob was married to his first wife, Aimee, in 1994, with whom he shared two wonderful sons, Kody and Jared. In 2013, he married the love of his life, Tracey, who survives him.

A collector and keeper of memories, a trait inherited from his mother, Jacob was ornery, fun, and blessed with the remarkable ability to fix anything, a gift from his father. Known for his unwavering faithfulness to his word, Jacob was a good and honorable man whose positive qualities knew no bounds. From the tender age of three, Jacob began his fishing journey and hunted pheasants alongside his dad, growing into an avid outdoorsman. His talent was boundless, and he found success in all he pursued. Jacob’s passion for taxidermy allowed him to preserve cherished memories, crafting works of art for himself, friends, and family with immense pride.

His home was not only in Zillah but also at Drano and Crow Butte, where he fished, and along the river, where he successfully hunted many deer places where he felt closest to God through his love of the outdoors. Jacob’s infectious laugh, radiant smile, and signature dimple touched the lives of countless individuals and will forever be missed. His legacy as an organized, prepared, and ever-ready soul, who lived life to the fullest, will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jacob was cherished by a wide circle of friends, young and old, whom he gathered throughout his life. Known for his unwavering loyalty and kindness, and incredible sense of humor, he was a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A graveside memorial service will be at the Zillah Cemetery at 11 a.m. on October 9th, followed by a celebration of life at the Zillah Civic Center.
