Ivan Heilman

March 15, 1937 — June 10, 2017

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ivan Heilman, age 80, who died peacefully on June 10th, 2017 in his own home. He was born in Toppenish, raised in Harrah, went to school in Yakima at the all boys school, Marquette Catholic School. He joins his parents, Matt and Sena(Thalheimer) Heilman; his brothers, Ken and Jim Heilman; his sister, Lillian Kott; and many, many friends in heaven. Ivan touched many people’s lives always willing to help out, always an ear for listening and more than likely had a simple solution to your problem. He loved to laugh, our lives were filled with the laughter of our dad and his friends. He loved fast cars, gardening, boxing, rebuilding classic fords and tractors. He was the last of a dying breed, because you don’t meet men like him anymore. He was a farmer, worked at Denchel Ford Tractor, contractor for Simplot doing custom hauling and chopping. He loved to work in his garden. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Heilman; seven daughters, Cindy Smith, Theresa Heilman, Becky Flinn, Jill Winn, Stacee Willard, Michelle Heilman and Corina Noble; brother, Bob and Marlene Heilman; sisters, Marilyn Patnode, Shirley and Tim Britz; many grandchildren; and his many boys. A pot lock will be held at Noon on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Zillah Civic Center. Condolences can be left for the family at www.valleyhillsfh.com To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Ivan Heilman, please visit our flower store.
