Ila Boshears

Ila Faye Boshears, of Yakima, WA., with her family by her side, closed her eyes to her earthly home and opened them to her heavenly home, on March 9, 2024. Mrs. Boshears was 81. Ila was born on March 4th, 1943, in Clayton, NM and was raised by her mother Anna Bartlett in Toppenish, WA. Where she graduated Toppenish High School the Class of 1961. Ila married Gordon Boshears, Sr. on April 28, 1962, in Yakima, WA. They spent 61 glorious years as husband and wife. Ila and Gordon had three children: Gordy Boshears, Jr., Deanna Gabauer (Jim) and Kevin Boshears (Karen). Ila had four grandchildren that she loved dearly: Gigi, Sasha, Hannah and Chloe. Ila had sixteen siblings and she is survived by her sister Marie Lott: brothers Jim Bartlett, Doward Bartlett, Kenny Bartlett and Mike Bartlett. Ila had many friends and family that will miss her. Ila is proceeded in death by her mother Anna, her siblings Bill, Jack, Modie, Gerald, Gwendolyn, Ralph, Rex, Ira, Clifford, Nancy and Bobby. Ila always put others before herself and had the biggest heart full of love for everyone around her. Ila's husband Gordon would like to say that she was the “Best Wife, Mother and Homemaker in the world and that he was the Luckiest Man to have had her in his Life for 63 years.” There will be a viewing for Ila on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima, WA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 9:30 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home with burial following at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
