Valley Hills Funeral Home YAKIMA - Hubert (Bill) Bailey passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013, in Yakima, Washington. He was born in Sunnyside, Washington to Hezzie (Pete) and Anna (Richert) Bailey on January 18, 1935. He lived and grew up on the family farm in Sunnyside. Soon after he finished school he joined the National Guard. In 1959, he married Kathleen Powell. They had three children, Julie (Doug) LaPierre, Jann (Connie) Bailey and Jill (Michael) Gray. Dad drove milk tanker for several years while operating the family Concord grape farm in Grandview. In his retirement years, he sold the farm and moved to the Nile Valley area and then to Yakima. He is survived by three sisters, Clarissa Murray, Barbara (Wayne) Horton, and Kathleen (Ron) Stewart. Dad had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He spent many enjoyable hours farming and refurbishing old cars, and was an avid antique collector. He also enjoyed his pinochle club friends.
