Howard Neil Cole, aged 94, passed away peacefully APRIL 10, 2025, in Wapato, WA. He was born June 18, 1930, in Homer, KY to Leon and Lillie Mae Cole. Howard was a devoted husband to Estelle Cole for over 72 years and the loving, encouraging and supportive father of five children; Lucille McCord; James Cole (Marcella), Gail Clements, Vicki Truex (Pat) and Lee (aka Harvey) Cole (Kimberlie).
He also has the honor of being the grandfather to 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and Uncle Howard to numerous nieces and nephews.
He had a deep love for fishing, whittling, wood working, and hitting the flea market, all his family and most of all for his Jesus who equipped him to love without condition and shower grace and mercy with anyone whom he came in contact.
He drove the bus for the Wapato School District for more than 10 years and dedicated a lot of his time availing himself to serving at the First Baptist Church of Wapato for many years.
He certainly enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee, a smile and a conversation with anyone who stopped by the house.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Multicare Memorial Hospice or the First Baptist Church of Wapato.
Visitation will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home of Wapato 218 W. 3rd St, Wapato on April 17, 2025 from 4-7p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Wapato on April 18, 2025 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park, 5161 W Wapato Rd, Wapato.
