Herlinda Huereca

Herlinda Huereca, 67, of Toppenish, went with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be with our Heavenly Father who art in heaven on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017. Herlinda was born November 28th, 1949 to Manuel and Leonor Rios, the sixth of seven children. She was raised in Eagle Pass, Texas. Herlinda was married to Juan Huereca Sr. In 1979 she left Decatur, Indiana and moved to Washington state with her three young sons. Herlinda’s family grew to 13. All her children loved her very much. She was very much loved and will be dearly missed. Anyone who knew her knew she would speak straight out and she always gave her opinion. She was always smiling and laughing. She loved to tell her stories. She loved to travel, especially to Seattle to visit family. She loved to go out to eat and to the movies with her good friend Miss Inez. She loved to take care of her family. She had 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Herlinda is survived by her children, Freddy Ortiz, Juan Huereca Jr., Leandro Huereca, Carlos Huereca, Salvador Zarate, Rocky Zarate, Randy Zarate, Amor Sosa, Beatrice Sosa, Juanita Rodriguez, Anjela Chavez, and Ramiro Equihua. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Leonor Rios, brother Steven Rios, sister Leonor R Huereca, son Leandro Huereca, and grandson Angel M. Huereca. Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 12 noon April 13th at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato. Services start at 12:00. Concluding services will follow at Memorial Park in Wapato.
