Guadalupe Ortiz

Guadalupe Trevino Ortiz passed away at the age of 86 years old. Guadalupe was born in Donna, Texas on November 21, 1927. She was born to Julio Trevino and Paula Martinez. Our loving mother was called to Heaven on April 30, 2014. Guadalupe migrated with her husband Fernando and children from Texas to Washington. They settled in the Satus area in 1962. She will be greatly missed for her laughter, compassion, crocheting, cooking, her love of music, her roses and the use of natural herbs and remedies. Guadalupe moved with her husband Fernando and children to Toppenish in 1969 where she resided until her death. She is survived by her loving children: Maria Esqueda, Adelaida Ortiz, Rosita (Nicolas) Sanchez, Isabel (Eutimio) Vela, Jose (Socorro) Ortiz, Jorge Ortiz, Alberto Ortiz, Yolanda (Robert) Salinas, Julianita (Timothy) Payne and Eloisa (Rojelio) Contreras, 46 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, and 23 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Fernando, and children Ramon, Daniel, and Anita Ortiz. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 1, 2014 from 4-7 pm, with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:00 am Friday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Toppenish. Burial will follow in the Zillah Cemetery.
