With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Guadalupe Gonzalez.

Garza, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born on September 29, 1945, Guadalupe lived a life full of love, strength, and unwavering faith. For 59 years, she was the beloved wife of Porfirio Garza, with whom she built a beautiful legacy of family and devotion.

Together, they raised four children: Gilberto, Gerardo, Angelica, and Eric.

She was also the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters, who brought her joy.

She was one of nine siblings, blessed with seven sisters and one brother.

A faithful and active member of Iglesia del Valle Assembly of God, Guadalupe accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1967 and lived the rest of her life guided by His love and truth. Her unwavering faith shaped every part of her lite and was a light to all who knew her.

She instilled that same faith in her children, raising them with the values of love, prayer, and devotion to God.

Guadalupe will be remembered as a devoted wife, a faithful Christian, and an amazing mother and grandmother whose legacy of love, strength, and spiritual wisdom will continue through her family and all those who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Porfirio Garza. Her children: Gilbert Garza (Myrthala), Gerardo Garza (Diana), Angelica Thorington (Daniel) and Eric Garza (Frances).

Her grandchildren: Gilbert (Elsie), Tahlia, Jakob, Erick, Alyssa, Evan, Jack, Kassandra, Liliana, Marcela, Aiden, Alaina, and Brianna. Her great grandchildren: Laneyah and Leia.

She is preceded in death by four of her sisters, as well as her loving parents, Tomas Gonzalez Garza and Paula Valdez Leal.

She is now resting in the arms of the Lord she served so faithfully. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
