Gordon Murray

Gordon David Murray, born July 9th, 1938 went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2018. Gordon was born in Yakima and spent the majority of his life in the Granger/Zillah area. He graduated from Granger High School in 1957. He worked in Seattle at Boeing and the ferry on the Columbia River. He joined the army in 1962 and was assigned to a boat squadron. Following his discharge 2 years later he rode his motorcycle from Florida to Washington. He drove truck for over 20 years and retired from Granger School District after driving bus for 18 years. His love of collecting included many tractors, trucks and other collectables of many kinds. Gordon was a member of the Faith Community Church in Zillah. Gordon married Sally Hert on November 5, 1966 and instantly became dad to Dan, Georgie and David, all of whom survive him. He is also survived by his sister Chris Lara, 1 granddaughter, 4 grandsons, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great nephew. A family graveside service will be held on Thursday March 1 at 10 am at the Zillah cemetary. A memorial service is scheduled to follow at 11 am at the Faith Community Church located at 300 West Centennial Drive in Zillah. A light lunch will follow at the church.
