Gloria Annette Olson passed away peacefully at her home in Yakima, Washington on December 4, 2014. She was 75.
Gloria was born on July 29, 1939 to Theodore and Leona Dexter of Yakima where she and her two sisters and brother grew up helping with the family’s orchard business. After graduating from Yakima High School in 1957 and the birth of her first daughter, she moved to the Seattle area where she raised her family and enjoyed a flourishing career in real estate. She and her husband Donald retired in Yakima in 2007.
Gloria was preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister Lorna, and brother Richard. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Donald Olson; daughters Wendy Morrison (husband Patrick) of Pacifica, California, and Lynn Enebrad (husband Mark) of Buckley, Washington; sister Shirley Mutch of Las Vegas, Nevada; two nephews (Melvin and Ted); four grandchildren (Matthew, Melyssah, Colby, and Connor) and two great-grandchildren (Lilah and Lucas). Gloria was a dynamic woman who led a vibrant life filled with the love of family and many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enthusiasm for travel, the arts, professional sports, and entertaining, especially during the holidays. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima on Monday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private graveside service at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.
