Gloria “Chaparrita” Bautista 34 of Sunnyside passed away October 11, 2015. She was born April 18, 1981 to Benito and Adelaida (Carrasco) Bautista in Sunnyside Washington. Gloria had lived all her life here with no plans to ever live anywhere else, because she loved her hometown. She had two beautiful children she was very proud of, and worked hard to provide for them with the best life she could. She was a proud grandmother of Isaiah Garcia and insisted on being his caretaker while mom worked. She was a great mother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. Full of laughter, smiles, and a big heart; she welcomed everyone and didn't have the heart to say no to anyone in need. She gave more than she could, her home, food, assistance with translating, paperwork, or just in any way she could serve anyone around her in need, even through her own illness, and even if she had to be figuring out later how to put food on her own table. Her way to deal with the challenges of life was to spend time with friends and family - looking beautiful, talking about life, dancing, attending sports events, or family events. Her creative side shined when she cooked delicious food and made decorations for events. Due to her caring ways she knew many people and touched many lives. Her spirit of joy will live in our hearts forever.
Gloria is Survived by her daughter; Gloria Ruby Flores, her son; Joel Flores Jr., her only grandchild Isaiah Garcia and her pet dog; Bebe, Brothers; Gerardo Bautista, Jose Bautista, Martin Perez, and Christobal Perez. Sisters; Noemi Perez, Maribel Perez, Zuleima Ruiz, and Veronica Ruiz.
