Do not ask me to remember; do not try to make me understand. Let me rest, and know you’re with me, kiss my cheek, and hold my hand. I’m confused beyond your concept, I’m sick and lost. All I know is that I need you to be with me at all cost. Do not lose your patience with me. Do not scold or curse my cry. I can’t help the way I am acting, can’t be different though I try. Just remembering that I need you, that the best of me is gone. Please don’t fail to stand beside me, love me till my life is done.

God gently embraced Glendora Baker and took her home on December 29, 2015. She would not want you to grieve for now, for she is home wrapped in the arms of Jesus. Glendora was born in Ava, Missouri on March 14, 1949. At sixteen she met the love of her life. Glen married Dennis Baker, their 50th anniversary would be in February. God blessed them with two children, Susan (Brad) White of Havelock, North Carolina, and Dennis the second (April) Baker also of Havelock, North Carolina. She loved children so much. She worked side by side with her husband in their auto and furniture business. She was also busy with her favorite activities, including crabbing, fishing, camping, making her bird houses, and sharing crafting with her sister-in-law Dianna. Her most favorite was spending time with family. Glen also loved animals, horses, and little dogs. She always had a giving heart, a sweet smile to everyone who knew her. Glendora may have lost her battle with Alzheimer’s, but we feel Alzheimer’s did not win, for Glen is whole again, smiling with a clear mind in the arms of her Jesus. She left a lot of love in the hearts of people she touched. She will be missed. We loved her dearly in life, and in death we love her still. Good bye honey for now. She is survived by her husband Dennis Baker, children Susan White, and Dennis Baker the second, seven grandchildren, Logan (Kelly) White, Dennis Baker the third, Hailey Glen White, Maddison White, Baylee Baker, Zoey Baker, and Gavin Baker, one brother, Efton Day, two sisters, Patty Bolyd, and Linda Mephetridge, six brothers-in-law, Jim Kegley, Steve Moore, Dan Floyd, Richard Roy, Jim Baker, and George Bloyd, five sisters-in-law, Dianna Kegley, Carol Moore, Cathy Floyd, Jennifer Baker, and Cindy Roy, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to list, and mother-in-law Betty Carney.
Dennis Baker and Dianna Kegley thank the staff at Cedar Hills Adult Residential Care, and Glen’s devoted care givers Margarita, Maria and Mayda. Services at Wiley Union Church, 2711 Wiley Road, Yakima at 1:30 PM. A reception will follow the service Saturday, January 9th.
