Glen Loren Phillips of Moxee, WA passed away peacefully in his sleep March 26, 2018. He was born to Don and Margie Phillips March 14, 1944. He was born in Michigan and grew up in Toppenish, WA. In school his friends and family all knew him as Tiny. He played football and till this day still holds Top Highs Shot Put Record. He spent his days working at his dad’s gas station where Elaine Ferguson later came in with her grandmother. It wasn’t long after that, that she was riding around with him in his 57 Plymouth. They celebrated 53 years together in 2017.
Glen moved to Renton to attend barber school and later moved back to Yakima in 1971 with is wife and their two daughters Christine and Lori. Glen then opened his Barber Shop, The Head Masters where he worked from September 1971 till September 2016 when he closed his doors. Glen enjoyed over the years camping, boating, and water skiing. Glen and Elaine also enjoyed a trip to Yellow Stone snowmobiling with family. In later years Glen loved restoring and waxing his 55 Chevy. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, working in the yard, or fixing a horse fence for his girls. Glen was never the couch potato type he was always doing something. He always cared for his family, they came first. He was the one to count on when you needed him. He was a very giving man. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Phillips; daughter, Christine Goldade and her husband Marvin; daughter, Lori Phillips; and granddaughters, Veronica Walter and Samantha Walter.
There will be a viewing Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah, WA with graveside services Saturday, March 31, 2018, 11:00 AM at the Zillah Cemetery. Condolences can be left for the family at www.valleyhillsfh.com
