Gerald “Dale” Austin Gerald “Dale” Austin was born to Charles “Bert” Austin and Wilma Waldean Austin on July 20, 1939 in their home in Toppenish, Washington. He graduated high school in 1959 at Toppenish and received his Masters in Business Law at CWU. In his life he was a medalist in the Junior Olympics, Eagle Scout, wplayed football and sports in High School. He worked as a professional Clown Diver, 50-60’s Rock and Roll Band, Drum and Fife Corp., Bugler, Harmonica/Guitar player. He was a coast guard veteran, foreman at Toppenish food processing plant, cowboy wrangler, section foreman/welder for Burlington Northern Pacific Railways. Dale went to see his Lord Jesus on May 11, 2015 at 4:44pm. Dale touched a lot of lives. He loved doing for the Lord Jesus. He was married to Lola “Barnes” Austin on June 27, 1959. He was looking forward to their 56th wedding anniversary. He loved fishing, hunting, camping with hiswife, daughters/husbands, family and cherished friends. He was close to all. His friendship and council will be missed. He went fishing on last Monday with Linda, Tom and TJ. He had a wonderful time but “No fish though” He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Mae; a granddaughter, Anntoinette; his mom and dad, Bert and Wilma; his sister and her husband, Patricia and Dennis McDaniels. He left behind his wife Lola of 55 years; three daughters, Merry and James Johnson, Linda and Tom McCracken, Karry and John Poston. Grandchildren, Daniel Paul and wife Austin-Marshall, Christopher and Summer Marshall, T.J., Teddy and wife Ashley, Jonathan McCracken, Maylynn and husband Eric Williams, Gordon and wife Amanda McCulloch, Jimmy and Matthew Poston, Dominick Laurence Miller; 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; sisters-in-law, Billy and Wilma Bourgeois, Marianne Olsen and their children and grandchildren, as well as many friends and other family members. A special thank you to the following: Yakima Regional Hospice for the loving tender care and help from March to May 11, 2015, Dr. Jonathan Davenport, Zillah family medicine and staff, Pastor Jeff Esterline, Calvary Chapel, Yakima. Also, all visitors and valued, compassionate people who helped us through to this moment. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00am at Calvary Chapel on the corner of Nob Hill and 40th Ave. Jeff Esterline will officiate. Don Fletcher will give the eulogy.
